2GIG's Wireless Smoke/Heat/Freeze Alarm is a battery powered, wireless alarm, that is a multipurpose device . When smoke, excessive heat or cold is detected, the alarm sounds a loud local alarm and the built in transmitter sends a signal to the Control Panel. This alarm is designed to provide protection within a 35 foot radius of the unit. The unit can send alarm, tamper and battery condition messages to the Control Panel.
Pro Tip: Place one of these in a hallway that leads to bedrooms and for every elevation change greater than 12 inches. Make sure you place this device at least 3 feet away from a return air vent!
